Student Action for a Sustainable Future
Student Action for a Sustainable Future (SASF) is an action and inquiry project for grade 5 – 8 students in Saskatoon. Led by the City of Saskatoon, partners include the SES, Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, Saskatoon Public Schools, Saskatoon Light and Power, and the Sustainability Education Research Institute at the University of Saskatchewan. Supported by the partners, students from several schools develop, implement, and showcase inquiry and actions, which focus on six areas: waste, water, energy, food, transportation, and biodiversity, that reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Saskatoon and around Saskatchewan.
The SASF Showcase 2017 is coming up on May 3, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Western Development Museum. We invite you to celebrate with us. Walk through the displays and learn more from the Student Action for a Sustainable Future projects.
The application deadline for 2016/17 has passed. SASF applications fro the 2017-2018 season will be online in May.
