Contact a controls company to determine if a Building Management System to control HVAC or other building systems is appropriate for your building
A Building Management System (BMS) is like having a really good building operator paying attention to temperature, ventilation and other needs at multiple points in your building 24 hours a day. Having a well programmed BMS will keep your building comfortable, while reducing energy consumption.
A programmable thermostat is a very simple BMS. Controls companies carry systems that can centrally control temperature, ventilation, humidity, lighting, security, boiler operation etc. Control can be based on a schedule, occupancy, and/or weather. With some systems, you can remotely control your building while off-site. Contact a controls company to see what sort of system may be right for your building needs. Normally, a BMS is appropriate for larger buildings, rather than small ones.
