Install touchless faucets

Why

Turning off the tap while soaping our hands can save a lot of water.  However, public health officials recommend not touching the taps to reduce the spread of germs.  Touchless taps can look after both of those for us.

How

Touchless faucets are available at plumbing and hardware stores.  They can be battery powered or wired in to AC power.  If you choose a battery powered model, be sure to replace batteries as needed.  Touchless fixtures are not suitable for taps where varying water temperatures are needed, such as a kitchen sink.  Check out this advice from doityourself.com
