Hang laundry to dry

About 6% of your electricity use could be going to running your dryer.  Let your laundry get some fresh air, and give your dryer a break by hanging laundry to dry.  Also, clothes last longer when they don’t go in the dryer.

Check out the Home Online Energy Assessment tool from SaskPower and SaskEnergy to see how you use energy in your home.

Both indoor and outdoor clotheslines are available.  If you use an indoor clothesline, you will add humidity to your house, so you may need to run your heat recovery ventillator more.  You will still save a lot of energy.
